A number of state-owned enterprises (SOE) have aid through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to support efforts to rejuvenate Lake Toba in North Sumatra as one of Indonesia’s major tourist destinations.
“I am proud with the CSR programs from a number of state-owned enterprises to rejuvenate Lake Toba. It shows a bigger and better care from state-owned enterprises to Indonesia is getting bigger and better,” said State-owned Minister Rini Soemarno in Parapat on Saturday.
State-owned enterprises that have given CSR are among others PT PGN and PT Pelindo, which will help rejuvenating a tourist village in Tomok.
In the meantime, state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II has built 10 clean toilets in Lake Toba, while PT Telkom will improve its network around the lake.
